The Great Synagogue in Rome

This beautiful  house of worship  has been serving  the orthodox  Jewish community
of Rome  since it's completion in 1904.  Below the synagogue is the Jewish Museum
of Rome which houses many artifacts and descriptions, reflecting on various aspects
of Jewish life during the long, 2,000 year old association the Jews have had in Italy.
