A path through a grove of giant redwood trees in Muir Woods - located a little north of San Francisco, California.
You managed to capture the magnificence of these trees. That's hard to do. Good job!
i think I've been there - sequoia/kings canyon?
Actually Muir woods is just a little further north of San Francisco. Sequoia/Kings Canyon are located to the east in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Also, the big trees there are called sequoias, these are redwoods. While related, sequoia trees are wider but not quite as tall as redwood trees and usually don't grow in dense groves like the one here,
That's a good place to walk alone in wonder.
Yes, except that you're almost never alone in Muir Woods. This was taken in the late afternoon when most of the tourists have left - the best time to go there if possible.
OMG I LOVE THAT PLACE SO MUCH!~~~
You've created a beautiful image of one of my favorite places. Well done.
Oh, how I miss redwoods...Lovely photo.
I like this a lot! amazing trees
Thank you for sharing this beauty with us, I really envy you being so close to such a beautiful area!
Actually I live in Israel, but I'm from California originally and visit my family there every few years. Thank you for the compliment.
i could never get a photo this good of muir woods, but i think have a newer camera
Thanks for the compliment. A friend of mine - who knows a whole lot more about photography than I do - said that the lighting for a photograph is just right. He'll wait hours sometimes for the perfect conditions to take a shot. In this case however I was just lucky to be at that spot at the right time cause I sure don't have the patience to wait .
This is so beautiful - great capture
Love Muir Woods!
Me too. I try to get there every time I'm in the Bay area; but only in the late afternoon when most of the people have left.
