The Morton Bay Fig Tree in Santa Barbra, California is said to be the largest tree of
it's kind in the United States. From side-to-side, it's branches extend out over 170
feet (or 52 meters). The branch on the lower left side was trimmed back to reduce
it's weight so that it wouldn't break off. It was planted back in 1874 and is still
going strong.
